Yes! Listening to music while surfing is not only possible but elevates the experience. Our Bluetooth waterproof headphones have been designed from the ground up with extreme water sports in mind. You can listen to music while surfing, swimming, water skiing, or jet skiing.
SoundSwell will be launched in November 2020 and the shipments will be sent in December 2020. Sign up for our newsletter to receive updates!
Your SoundSwell will lock into place once you snap the rear clasp into place. Your Apple Watch is fastened with the same secure adapters used in your wristband; one placed on each side of the watch. SoundSwell headphones are designed with extreme sports in mind and withstand the pressure of even the toughest waves.
Of course! SoundSwell is versatile. But keep in mind that Bluetooth has a very short range underwater. For activities where you can have your phone — like fishing, kayaking, or stand-up paddle boarding — SoundSwell will be a more secure, waterproof option than traditional Bluetooth earbuds.
It depends. As long as your watch and headphones are not submerged, the Bluetooth will stay connected. If you want to hear your music underwater, you’ll need to clip the watch into your SoundSwell.
Made with 45% near shore collected plastics, these earphones help clean up the oceans you love to spend your time in.
Exostosis, more commonly known as surfer’s ear, is when there’s abnormal growth in the ear canal. Our waterproof headphones protect users from this growth while maintaining a comfortable listening experience.

The Apple Watch is arguably the best “surf watch” and without a doubt the best way to have your favorite streaming services in the water. Dynamically storing playlists, podcasts, and more allows for a much better user experience than uploading obsolete MP3 files to a waterproof audio device.
Simply remove the band from your Apple Watch, slide it in to SoundSwell, and go! The swimming headphones are compatible with watches Series 2 through 6, and includes adapters for 38mm, 40mm, 42mm, and 44mm sizes.
Just as simple as putting it on, carefully slide your Apple Watch out of the adapters as you would your wristband.
Yes, the Apple Watch is still able to track your heart rate because it is located on your chest and will be able to accurately track your health!
A new Apple Watch waterproof Series 2, the first fully waterproof Apple Watch, can be found on Amazon for as low as $169. Or you can buy a used one from eBay or similar providers.
Apple Watch currently supports offline storage for Pandora users, and both cellular streaming and offline storage for Apple Music users. We are hoping these features are added to play Spotify downloaded playlists and Spotify’s watchOS application in the near future.
Yes you can! Both podcast episodes and books can be downloaded to your Apple Watch. Books can be downloaded from the Audio Book or Audible App. Podcasts can be managed and downloaded from Apple Watch podcasts. You can effortlessly listen while simultaneously catching waves.
The Smartwatch Series is user tested with Samsung Galaxy Active watches, but not recommended. Even with the right connectors, removing a Samsung watch from the Smartwatch Series is difficult without precise tools.
Unlike many other waterproof headphones, our waterproof Bluetooth headphone design puts the watch within range underwater. No worries if you’re in or out of the water! The signal is strong enough to stay connected.
SoundSwell headphones are low maintenance. We recommend rinsing your SoundSwell with freshwater after use and cleaning the waterproof earbuds regularly to maintain the best sound quality.
Yes, if one headphone falls out while adventuring the other will continue to play music.
If you are using a cellular enabled Apple Watch, Siri will be activated by holding down the center control button
A blue light will appear when your headphones are completely charged.
You are able to listen to 8 hours of nonstop music with SoundSwell headphones! The Apple Watch battery life is 18 hours.
Apple Watch should not be used for scuba diving or any activities with submersion below shallow depth. We don’t recommend swimming at a depth greater than 3 meters with your SoundSwell headphones.
IP means ‘Ingress Protection,’ and determines how well a device is protected from solids and liquids.
The X is representative of protection against solids. The 8 represents protection against water.
As mentioned in the IPX8 waterproof question above, the 8 represents the protection our headphones have against water. The 8 falls on a scale of 0-9, the higher the ranking the more waterproof the headphones. Being ranked 8th means that a product can be submerged deeper than 1 meter, but in our case it can be in 3 meters for 30 minutes!
